THE CREATORS ECONOMY
an independent print publication examining the people, practices, systems, and ideas shaping contemporary creative and cultural life. Based in the UAE and published primarily in Arabic, the magazine looks at creativity through the wider structures that allow it to emerge, circulate, and endure. We are interested in the people making things, but equally in the institutions, economies, technologies, materials, places, and forms of knowledge surrounding their work.
Across long-form features, interviews, essays, visual research, archival material, and data-led stories, The Creators Economy moves between design, architecture, art, craft, publishing, photography, culture, and the industries that connect them. Each issue begins with a central theme and brings together different disciplines and perspectives around it.
Our editorial approach is curious, research-led, and critically engaged. Rather than treating creative work primarily through finished outcomes, we look at how it is produced: the decisions behind it, the conditions that make it possible, the systems it participates in, and the cultural questions it raises.
The Creators Economy prioritizes an Arabic-first editorial perspective and an outward-looking approach. It creates a space for conversations emerging from the region to sit within a wider international context, while developing an independent record of the practices and transformations shaping creative culture today.
